The high need for community support and unity among youth and families in Hudson County, especially amidst high prevalence of gun violence, recidivism, homelessness, and high school dropout rates is the motivation of the array of services provided by The Connected V.I.N.E. It is the goal of The Connected V.I.N.E to be effective in working with youth and families to assist in increasing stability in the home, creating opportunities for youth, provide venues for growth and remaining as an informal community support. The Connected V.I.N.E prides itself on the ability to build a rapport with youth and families that foster a relationship of trust, consistency and positive relationships among one another.
The Connected V.I.N.E works around the premise that there is power in unity. It angels to build youth and families by simply helping them recognize the strength inside of themselves. More often than not, we have found that people’s life experiences are usually great teachers. Our goal is to encourage youth and families to unify and build relationships by seeing the gold and invaluable strength they possess as a result of hearing each other’s life experiences.
