Going On After Losses 

Through the G.O.A.L.S. (Going On After Losses) curriculum, The Connected V.I.N.E. can provide 3 cohorts of 10 families who experience grief and loss in some form.  This collaboration allows over 30 families to engage in healing conversations that assist with coping through hard conversations of grief and loss. The goal of this program is to provide youth and families with the opportunity to vocalize their feelings regarding the loss and trauma they have experienced in their lives. Quite often in our community, the chance to have clinical-based dialogue about trauma, grief, and loss in a community peer support setting is not very common. Many may grieve differently, but we should not do it alone. 

The Connected V.I.N.E. currently partners with the Jersey City Public School SAC (Substance Abuse Coordinator) department. This partnership has allowed The Connected V.I.N.E. to provide weekly social-emotional learning and grief workshops within Jersey City Public High Schools. The High Schools include Ferris HS, Snyder HS, Lincoln HS, Liberty HS, Innovation HS, Dickinson HS, and Renaissance HS. This partnership continues to expose The Connected V.I.N.E. to a plethora of students who can be supported in the educational paths as well as their community involvement. Hudson Partnership Care Management Organization (CMO) is a private not-for-profit agency that provides care coordination for Hudson County youth ages 3-21 who may be struggling with: mental health or emotional issues, challenging behaviors, substance use, juvenile justice involvement, or developmental disabilities. For more info go to:

  Due to the delicacy of most cases, the support given to the caregivers is crucial. The Connected V.I.N.E. enters the judge's chambers and attends probation with all court-involved youth cases (i.e. truancy, juvenile, non-criminal charges, etc.) with Judge Mainor. For more info go to:
